Building a project within 100’ of a wetland resource creates
special challenges complete with their own rules, regulations, permits, plans and bureaucracy. Navigating through each of these requires great care, specialized expertise and knowledge. Wet Tech Land Design understands the scope of this process and has been assisting with wetland planning, permitting and construction for over 25 years on Cape Cod and surrounding areas.
The determination and delineation of wetlands areas are based on two things: the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 1987 Manual and procedures established by the Massachusetts DEP (Department of Environmental Protection).
Wet Tech Land Design, Inc. has delineated over 200 wetland boundaries in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island, with the majority being in Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Islands.
We have designed numerous wetland solutions, including wetland mitigation and replication plans, vista pruning plans, landscape and swimming pool plans and installation supervision.
Wet Tech Land Design has constructed and monitored numerous wetland mitigation sites in Plymouth, Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket Counties . We have also prepared numerous wetland improvement plans for on-site and in-kind resource area replacements for various land developments.
Wetland restoration/replication is the heart of many Wet Tech Land Design projects. Whether topographic land contouring, replicating a resource area, or plant mitigation, our achievements are the result of specialized skill and knowledge developed and honed over many years of real world experience. We provide conservation permitting for development, site encroachment, wetland alteration, coastal protection, and dock permits as well as all other permitting requirements for State and Federal programs.
